Forensic Mental Health Services Forensic Assessment and Evaluation
Dr. Nelson is a Forensic Examiner who has expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological, cognitive, and or intellectual assessments as it relates to legal needs. All forensic evaluations include a review of pertinent legal, mental health, and medical documentation, a clinical interview examining psychosocial and educational history, incorporation of collateral data, and the administration of psychological testing and/or specialized forensic instruments. Her trauma-informed perspective is to evaluate the presence of any psychological disorder or personality characteristics and their impact on criminal and civil cases. Dr. Nelson is also available to testify as an expert witness or in response to the court ordered assessments.

Dr. Nelson presents with a history of treating offenders with varying disorders. She works with supervising agencies and the courts to address court-related treatment needs.
